Like a month ago, I went to some shop in my village to buy a backpack for my Euro trip. If you care, I went to Prague, Munich, Amsterdam
Anyway, something in that seller’s attitude caught my attention…
He was so quick, so overhasty with his moves, so that he had to repeat almost every move that he did, at least twice.
Think about it, we try to save time by acting or thinking faster, therefore we have to re-do a lot of moves, ending up wasting much more time.
It’s the same with reading, if you try to read faster, you might end up re-reading many sentences till you fully-understand the idea.
Also acting very slowly, thinking very slowly, or reading very slowly is not effective at all.
Life is all about balance, and also here, we should keep a balance.
So slow down a bit, you are not being more effective by rushing.
P.S. if you enjoyed this article, I suggest reading my post about multi-tasking. It talks about a similar concept and I’m sure you’ll like it.
